Bastia International Open – Corsican Circuit 2023
Article 1 : As part of the Circuit Corse 2023, the “Corsica Chess Club” organizes the Bastia International Open Rapid games from Sunday 9 July to Friday 10 July 2023.
The open of rapid games is approved by F.I.D.E.
Article 2 : The rules of the game are those of F.I.D.E.
The computerized pairings (P.A.P.I. program) are done in the Swiss System.
The Elo taken into account for the pairing is that of July 2023.
The pairings published on the internet are given as an indication. The official pairing is the one displayed in the game room.
Article 3 : Games room
At the citadel of Bastia, Auditorium of the Museum.
Article 4 :
- The tournament is played in 9 games. The rate of play is 15mn + 3s.
Article 5 : Drawing by mutual consent is forbidden.

Adult player : 20€ Young player : 10€ MF/MI/MIF/GMF/GMI free Registration and license control: Sunday the 9 july from 11:00 to 14:00.
Prizes awarding : (In annex).
Article 8 : The tie-break is as following
1. Buchholz minus 2; 2. Buchholz ; 3. Performance.
Article 9 :
- If a player arrives more than 10 minutes late, he loses his game (unless the referee decides otherwise).
- Phones must be switched off.
- Any improper behaviour, including outside or in the accommodation, may be penalised.
- Correct dress is required at the tournament venue.
- A forfeited player (having not informed the arbiter) is considered to have abandoned the tournament.
- Reporting unjustified dropouts to the FFE for French players and to the federations concerned for foreign players
Article 10:
Chief arbiter : Stéphane Escafre, IA. Assistant arbiters : Murcia Gerald AFO2, Guillaume Gerandi AFO2.
Any other person designated by the arbiter to assist him occasionally.

All participants agree to abide by these Internal rules, and to respect the health protocol.
