15th Quenza International Chess Open: an unmissable event!
On Sunday, July 5th, 2026, the village of Quenza will host the 15th edition of its International Blitz Open, which has become over the years a must-attend fixture on the circuit. Played over 9 rounds, with a time control of 5 minutes + 3 seconds per move, this prestigious tournament will bring together titled players and chess enthusiasts alike, in a unique setting in the heart of Alta Rocca.
€20,000 in prizes, including over €9,000 in gifts
With a total of €20,000 in cash prizes and prizes in kind, the Quenza Open stands out as one of the most attractive blitz tournaments around. Beyond financial rewards, more than €9,000 worth of gifts will also be awarded — including the highly appreciated “Prizutti” from Alta Rocca.
A top-level field, featuring many Grandmasters
The tournament’s strong reputation also stems from the outstanding level of players expected: several Grandmasters and International Masters will be in attendance, offering participants a rare opportunity to compete against the elite.
